2010 Chinese Festival Successfully Held

     The second Chinese Festival was held on December 9th, 2010. Principal Shi, Ms Ruan (Dean of Student Administration Department), and Dr. Eric Howard Habsburg (principal of Colombia High School) presented in the festival. All Chinese and foreign teachers of International Department took part in the festival together with the visiting teachers and students from abroad.

     The aim of the Chinese Festival is to carry on the Chinese culture and reveal its charm. The teachers and students presented the beauty of Chinese culture with various performances. Thunderstorm, a drama by Grade 10, was a tribute to Mr. Cap Yu the renowned drama writer. The performance was not only traditional but also unique with an interpretation of children born in 1990s. The vivid play of Chinese idiom Strut in Borrowed Plumes received compliment from the audience. The visitors, Malaysian teachers and students from New Zealand, also performed in the festival. They enjoyed applauses from the audience.

Principal Shi gave the closing speech, in which he spoke highly of the festival. We are now looking forward to another fantastic Chinese Festival next year.
