Fu Shouqing (Vice District Mayor of Haidian District) Visiting Us on Lantern Festival

    The traditional Lantern Festival fell on January 15th of the lunar calendar. Mr. Fu Shouqing(Vice District Mayor of Haidian District), accompanied by Mr. Wang Jianzhong (Vice Dean of Haidian District Municipal Commission of Education, Mr. Su Shu (Director of High School Education Department of Haidian Municipal Commission of Education ), visited our school. Principal Shen Jie, Party Secretary Jin Xiaoli, and Vice Principal Zhang Guoping welcomed the honorable guests.

    Leaders of Haidian District watched the promotion film of the school first. Principal Shen gave them a report on the development of the school, in which she stated several obstacles the school met. For example, the insufficient area for campus is holding back the development of the school. Besides, the founding of the Western Campus is proceeding at a rather low speed. The leaders toured around the school, did some observation and handle the official business on the scene. They would pay special concern to the problems. After that, the leaders, accompanied by Principal Shen Jie, Party Secretary Jin Xiaoli, and Vice Principal Zhang Guoping, visited the school culture corridor in Zonghe Building, rhea art gallery, the library, the planetarium, and the museum. They also visited the teachers' offices and talked with the staff.

In the end, Mr. Fu (Vice District Mayor of Haidian District) made compliment. He said that as a key school and the first model school in Beijing, High School Attached to CNU, an advanced body in national education system, has made excessive contributions to the education of Haidian District and further more to the education of Beijing. He hoped that the school would endeavour to greater accomplishments this year.
